Great News: Apple TV on its way for a September 10 launch

It is September and that means new iPhone(s). But what else does Apple have up its sleeve? A report from a global shipping intelligence platform company suggests that a new Apple TV might be headed our way.

Apple is planning a big event on September 10, 2013, and there has been a lot of speculation on what could be on the menu. While the exact line-up of products is subject of debate, almost everyone agrees that newer models of the iPhone are likely to take center stage next week. A blog post shared by the  from New York-based global trade intelligence platform Panjiva, suggests that we should add Apple TV to the list.

Using the Panjiva Shipment Search, the company found the original bill of landing data from the US Department of Homeland Security. Based on that information, Panjiva suggests that

• On August 25th, Apple received a shipment described as “Set Top Box with Communication Function” from BYD Precision Manufacture in Shenzhen, China.
• On August 18th, Apple received another shipment, again from BYD, described as “Set Top Boxes.”
• And on August 11th, Apple received its first shipment from BYD of “Set Top Box with Communication Function.

Since Panjiva doesn’t have exact shape and size of the shipments, the best company can do is guess as to what are these mysterious set-top boxes. It could be the newer version of the current Apple TV product, the much speculated-about television product or something brand new we don’t know anything about.

Panjiva report points out that in the past, when Apple received shipments for “set top boxes”  —most recently, on December 5, 2012 – those shipments came from Hon Hai.   A safe bet would be on a new Apple TV device. The last time Apple released a new model of Apple TV (one it calls a little hobby) was in March 2012.

With a new iOS 7 on its way, it wouldn’t be a stretch to expect a newer model of Apple TV that accommodates the increasing number of channel options and brings some of the features of iOS 7 to the big screen.

MacRumors website which follows the device release schedules pretty closely, points out that Apple typically updates Apple TV devices every 377 days, so from that perspective it is long overdue for a makeover. Apple recently cut prices of refurbished Apple TV to $75. In June 2013, Apple had added HBO Go and ESPN to Apple TV channel line-up. Last week, the company bolstered its line-up with Vevo, Disney Channel, Disney XD, the Weather Channel and the Smithsonian channel.

Apple reportedly shipping two new iPhones next month

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple has asked its assembler to begin shipping two new iPhone models in early September.

Not only does it look like Apple is set to unveil two new iPhones in September, but it will be shipping them then as well. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Apple has asked assembler Hon Hai Precision Co. (better known as Foxconn) to start shipping its two new iPhone models early next month.

Apple has typically made its phones available within a week or so of their announcement, so this news is not particularly surprising. What is interesting is that this further confirms Apple will announce two different phones at its event next month — the iPhone 5S, as well as the rumored budget spinoff, the iPhone 5C.

According to the WSJ, Apple’s suppliers began working on components for two different phones in June — one with a metal casing similar to the iPhone 5, and another, lower-cost version. We’ve seen plenty of leaks purporting to be of the iPhone 5C, so this just fans the flames.

Another rumor seeming to quickly gain credence is that of a gold color option for the iPhone 5S. All Things today is reporting that its sources have confirmed the phone will definitely be available in gold.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C at an event on September 10. It did not respond to WSJ’s request for comment.

Low-cost iPhone 5s to be released in July

The low cost iPhone 5s will be released in July,as rumors said.Brian White ,a Topeka Capital markets analyst said that a low-cost and revamped iPhone 5s will arrive in July. White said that:

A lower-cost Apple iPhone 5s will be announced in June and will be shipped in the month of July.

He also added that,during China trade show he interacted with many vendors and with various suppliers including those working for Apple.

The big thing that Apple lovers and tech geeks expecting from upcoming iPhone 5s is the fingerprint technology. The low-cost iPhone 5s will be thicker than the iPhone 5. iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5 – Comparison

Apple is doubted a fine inventor. All of their products are being loved in the whole world. There most loved products are the iPhone 4S and the “Beast” iPhone 5.

On the other hand, our iPhone 4S is really a strong competitor of iPhone 5. The display of iPhone 4S is about 3.5 inch IPS with resolution of 960×640 and haves the same pixels per inch as the iPhone 5 have i-e 326 PPI. The resolution of iPhone 4S is bit lower than the iPhone 5 it is a negative point for iPhone 4S. Therefore, in this comparison of Display, the iPhone 5 wins again.

Processor and RAM

The boost in the boot of iPhone 5 is really noticeable as it is the owner of new A6 Processor with 1.3 GHz Speed specially made for iPhone 5. The boot matters a lot in the comparison specially when you are comparing two smartphones of one company. iPhone 5 have a double amount of RAM as compared to the iPhone 4S. It have 1 Gigs RAM, when it comes to performance and Speed then the A6 processor and 1 Gigs RAM shows the noticeable magic.

The old iPhone 4S is having 512 MB RAM with Apple’s A5 processor with 800 MHz Speed. There are lots difference between the processors and speed of both devices. I personally did a test of both devices. I want to know that which one loads faster and I was expecting that iPhone 4S with iOS 5 will boot faster as iOS5 is much lighter as compared to iOS6. But the results were stunning. The iPhone 5 loaded faster with iOS6. It booted about 3 seconds faster than the iPhone 4S. In the comparison of processor and RAM once again the iPhone 5 won.
